Prepare for Major Fashion and Makeup Inspo!

I spend so much time scrolling through Instagram, it's my go-to place for when I'm in need of inspiration. I have so many screenshots in my camera roll of outfits I like as well as hair and makeup ideas. Today I thought I'd share my 10 favourite people I follow for major fashion and beauty inspo.

1. Lucy & Lydia
Lucy and Lydia’s Instagrams are probably my favourites to look at and keep up to date with. They've done so many amazing photo shoots and have so many holiday photo's that give me serious wanderlust. I love their themes too.

I love watching her makeup tutorials on YouTube so I know I'm guaranteed to get some makeup inspo from her Instagram. She also has some amazing travel photos which make me wish I was on holiday.

I've loved Demi Lovato ever since she was in Camp Rock, she's overcome a lot and she's one of my biggest inspirations. She's such a badass and has been posting some amazing pictures on Instagram lately celebrating body positivity and empowerment.

Victoria's blog is one of the blogs that inspired me to start blogging again. Her photos are amazing on there and on her Instagram. I love how her feed is quite light with a bit of colour and her travel photo's are also stunning.

Missguided had to be included on this list especially after their #MAKEYOURMARK campaign. Their Instagram has a whole host of empowering photos and quotes. I like how they're not just using it to show what's in store.

6. Kelsey Simone
I love Kelsey's style and her effortless hair and makeup looks, her theme is very monochrome which I love and everything she wears is on point.

7. Erin Henry
If you need motivation Erin's Instagram is the place to go. I love her videos which I definitely recommend if you're into business, organisation or just want to learn how to be a girlboss. Her Instagram is a great place to go for a quick motivation boost.

8. Amanda Ensing
I love Amanda's makeup and style. I've got so many of her makeup photo's saved for inspiration. I also highly recommend you check out her youtube tutorials as well.

9. Sophia & Cinzia
These two have a joint Instagram as well as individual ones and they're amazing. I've recently discovered their YouTube videos and I'm obsessed. I love both of their laid back but still on trend style and I also love their glowy makeup looks as well.

10. Amber Scholl
If you love sparkle and extraness then you'll love Amber's Instagram, her themes gold and black which I love and she also got me hooked on the Aden filter after I watched her 'How I Edit my Instagrams' video.

If you would like follow me on instagram you can here! Share your instagram below because I'm always looking for new people to follow and let me know who your favourite people to follow on instagram are as well!

Highlighter has become an essential part of my daily makeup routine. I've always loved glowy skin, one of the first foundations I ever bought was Bourjois Healthy Mix and I loved how glowing and healthy it made my skin look. Highlighting/Strobing has been a trend I've fully embraced over the last few months and when I started seeing the Iconic London Illuminator drops in makeup tutorials I knew I had to try them.

There are 4 shades which are: Blush, Glow, Shine and Original. I use the shade Original and it's honestly one the prettiest shades I've ever seen. It's the perfect mix of bronze and gold and it's light enough for me to make it work with my skin tone, I absolutely love it. It not only adds highlight but I feel like it also adds a bit of bronze as well. The amount of glow it gives is also amazing, you can get a really powerful glow. You can also blend and sheer it out if you want a more subtle glow. I also sometimes wear it when I'm not wearing any makeup to perk my skin up a bit and add some colour. These drops have really helped me take my highlight to another level especially when I layer powder highlights over the top. Something else I love to do is add a few drops to my moisturiser and foundation for an extra glow all over. It also looks really good on the shoulders and collarbone when wearing a sleeveless dress on a night out.

Overall I would definitely recommend the Iconic London Illuminator drops to anyone who loves a good highlight. I've also heard Makeup Revolution have some illuminating drops that are similar which I want to try as well (let me know if you've tried these and what you thought).

What's your favourite highlighter?

Valentine's day is a day which brings mixed views. When I was younger I didn't think much of it, I would get a card from my mum and some chocolate and I was happy with that. But as I got older other people my age started getting into relationships and since I was forever alone I stopped acknowledging it. But in the last few years, I've realised Valentine's day can be celebrated by everyone no matter what your relationship status is. So if you're single why not spend the day treating yourself!

Five Valentines Ideas for if You're Single

1. Spend it with friends - If you don't want to spend the day or evening alone then spend it with your fellow single friends. You could all go out to dinner, have a night out or have a night in and order pizza.

2. Have a night to yourself -
Alternatively, if you want to spend some quality time with yourself why not have a pamper evening. Get some bath bombs, face masks, paint your nails, watch a film and most importantly eat plenty of food.

3. Learn something new -
If you've ever wanted to learn something new or take a class why not do it now!

4. Dinner for one -
If you're brave you could go out and have dinner for one or alternatively you could find a recipe on Pinterest and cook something at home.

5. Go for a walk -
Take yourself out for some fresh air. You could even explore somewhere you've never been to before.

This year I won't be spending the day alone, I'll be spending it with my boyfriend and probably working my way through the box of chocolates he's promised. If you're also spending the day with a loved one now is the time to give them a little extra love. There's plenty of things that you can do as a couple.

Five Valentines Ideas for Couples

1. Dinner date - This is a classic date idea. The person you love and a three-course meal is a pretty good combination.

2. Cook together - If you'd rather stay in why not try cooking something together. It's a good way to try out a new recipe and it's cheaper than going out. Plus you won't need to bother trying to get a table anywhere.

3. Go on a picnic - If it's nice weather why not go for a picnic. It could be in a local park or you could even have one on the beach if you live near the coast.

4. Something adventurous - If you fancy something a bit more adventurous than just going out for dinner you could go for a bike ride or for a walk along a cliff path or somewhere with hills to get a nice view.

5. Cinema - This is another classic date idea. There are loads of great films on at the minute. I recently watched The Greatest Showman and it was amazing.

I hope these ideas have given you a little bit of inspiration for how you can spend your day; whether you're in a relationship or not you can still have an amazing day.

Will you be doing any of these ideas?

One of the reasons I stopped blogging was because I was always paranoid what other people thought, I guess some people think it's weird or just don't really get it - which can be annoying. But as I have got older I've realised you can't live your life worrying about what others think of you, life's too short. So, with that in mind, I'm blogging again.

I hope you enjoy this blog as much I'm going to enjoy making it, I plan to post every Sunday. You can expect posts on beauty, fashion and other relevant things in my life. I also want to share my experiences and opinions.
All my social links are at the bottom of the page (and in the bar at the top) if you would like to follow me on any of those. You can follow this blog via Bloglovin' or subscribe by email (Bottom of the page) and if you want to find out more about me you can visit my about page.
